Dear Families,

Welcome to Black Hawk Elementary School! Home of the cougars!

Black Hawk Elementary School is a small school with a community feeling. We, the Black Hawk staff, feel that it is important that every student and family feels welcome and connected to the Black Hawk Family.

We are a Positive Behavior and Support (PBIS) school and believe that actions and behaviors fall under the following three areas of expectations:

Be Safe

Be Respectful

Be Responsible

Find out more about PBIS under the Our School drop down menu.

We, the staff, believe that working together with families ensures that each child reaches his or her potential. We strongly believe that it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the skills necessary for them to develop academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.

It is our desire to keep you informed of all the wonderful learning and events that happen at our school. Up-to-date and additional information is sent home through the weekly “Friday Folder,” Class Dojo, and this website. Just click on Calendar under the “quick links” or click on Events from the top menu. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to communicate with your student’s teacher or call me.

Lost and Found

We clean out the Lost and Found Bins completely the first Friday of every month. Please consider coming into school and looking through our Lost and Found Bins. Each month, we will donate any items that have not been claimed.
